I have been blogging for years, but all of my endeavors have been separate and compartmentalized: my kids, the law, products related to my kids, etc. Thus, my plan is to keep up with one blog about all of those things which interest me. A non-comprehensive list of those things follows. Enjoy.
I am a 20 something stay at home mother attorney of three: a girl, another girl, and a boy.
I live in California.
I’m a Cabernet Sauvignon type of girl. However, due to reflux issues with girl 2, I began my journey into whites, most notably Pinot Grigiot, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, or the occasional Chardonnay. My favorite champagne is Veuve Clicquot.
I love coffee, specifically Starbucks, but if it has caffeine, I’ll drink it.
I like music. The Beatles, Lady Gaga, whatever.
I shop at Target.
I appreciate customer service. For example, I have personally had great experiences resolving problems Covergirl, Huggies, Kellogg’s, Starbuck’s and American Licorice (makers of Red Vines), and I give praise when it’s due.
My dream job, aside from litigating before the Supreme Court as an attorney for The ACLU, would involve Art Law, Consistutional Law, Education Law, Environmental Law, Estate Planning, and Patent Law. A girl can dream, right?
I use cloth diapers. You’d be amazed how much less garbage output that means for a family of 5.
I also babywear, currently the Ergo is my favorite, but we’ve been through the Maya Wrap, Moby Wrap, Baby Bjorn, and maybe something else, I can’t remember.
I make baby food with my beaba.
I use coupons, when they don’t make my shopping trip even more stressful or complicated. Imagine trying to wrangle 3 children at the checkout and the naivete it must take to actually check and see if the coupons are going through.
For this reason, I generally shop online for everything. Only when I’m desperate for human interaction or fresh produce, will I venture into public.
I run, or at least I used to before I had kids. I’m hoping to train for a marathon within the next year. The Tinkerbell half marathon in Disney has been calling my name particularly strong.
I love good freebies.
I hate proofreading. If you see typos, you’ll know why.
Did I mention my love affair with acronyms? The law is funny like that. SOL, CEQA, NPDES, AP, and a litany of others I can’t remember from studying for the CA Bar Exam.
