Party! Party!

My toddler’s 2nd bday is coming up, and I can’t help but be sentimental. We are doing a Yo Gabba Gabba theme, an ever present force in our home since my dear mom-friend introduced us to it.

Anyway, we were watching the Birthday episode, and the opening song just gets me every time.

Additionally, I don’t understand why Brobee is such a damn whiner. It’s like raigin Eeyore to a whole new level. “It’s my birthday, and no one is around, they must have forgot me again. They’re all too busy, and now I’m feeling down…” I guess its a good example of how kids can affect others by not paying attention to them? Or some sort of means of teaching empathy? IDK.

So, we got some really ridiculous hats from the $1 bin at Target, will post pictures in the party recap, but let’s just say they were worth the entire $1 they cost. I was disdained, however, to find that once again there were no yellow or light blue table cloths to be found. This marks my 6th attempt between Target and Walmart to find the damn things. Hopefully I’ll be able to find them before next weekend.

I also picked up a few other things, which means our office has officially completed its transformation as a party dump area. Every time I pass through I think how nice it will be to have empty space once again!
